  Dr. Gary Cole, O.D.   Dr. Gary Cole, O.D.
Dr. Cole is a graduate of The Ohio State University, School of Optometry. He completed his internship while serving in the U.S. Air Force in Europe and was Chief of the Eye Clinic at Toul-Rosières Air Base in France. While living in Europe, he worked closely with Dr. Mueller-Welt, who is credited as an early pioneer in the development of hard contact lenses. With this early contact lens experience, Dr. Cole was invited to work with Dr. Alan Isen in Buffalo N.Y., in developing the first soft contact lenses.

Dr. Cole has owned his practice, Conway Eye Care, since 1969 and opened Coos Eye Care in 1994 to better serve northern New Hampshire. He served on the New Hampshire Board of Optometry for eight years and was president for four of those years. He also served on the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Optometric Association.

Dr. Cole is a licensed private pilot, with a multi-engine instrument rating. He and his wife Paula reside in West Ossipee, and he remains active with flying and golf.

Dr. Pulsifer has been practicing optometry with Conway Eye Care and Coos Eye Care since 1999. She is a graduate of University of New Hampshire and Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia. She has practiced in Camden, Me., and Portsmouth N.H., prior to joining this practice.

She is active in the New Hampshire Optometric Association, serving on its Board of Directors, as well as several other committees. Dr. Pulsifer has volunteered eye care services for the Lions Club, the Special Olympics and in Guatemala.

Active in her community, she is an outdoor enthusiast and has chaired the Winterfest Committee for the White Mountain Chamber of Commerce for a number of years. She and her husband reside in Conway
with their dog and two cats.
  Dr. Angelique Sawyer, O.D., F.A.A.O.   Dr. Angelique Sawyer, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Angelique Sawyer, O.D., F.A.A.O., is a highly skilled and experienced professional, with N.H. Board of Optometry Certification in glaucoma treatment and a strong interest in children’s vision. Her previous position at Spindel Eye Associates in Derry, N.H., provided a wide range of experience that complements the practice. She is joining practice owner Dr. Gary Cole and associate Dr. Laurel Pulsifer, who both will continue to see patients.

Dr. Sawyer holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Duke University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then was accepted into the University of Houston, College of Optometry, where her doctorate was awarded Summa Cum Laude distinction in 2008. She completed residencies at New England College of Optometry and the Veteran’s Administration in Boston, specializing in ocular diseases. She is presently serving as President of the New Hampshire Optometry Association, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. She enjoys children’s vision and often provided school eye exams for a local school district in southern New Hampshire.

Dr Sawyer will be seeing patients in both the Conway and Berlin offices.
  Dr. Elizabeth Reese, O.D.   Dr. Elizabeth Reese, O.D.
Dr. Reese has comprehensive experience in all areas of eye care, from routine exams for glasses and contact lenses, to emergency eye injuries and infections, to chronic ocular disease including cataracts, diabetes, glaucoma and macular degeneration. Dr. Reese graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in biology and earned a Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis.

As a national officer of the American Optometric Student Association (AOSA), Dr. Reese published several articles in optometric periodicals, including Foresight and newOD. She is currently a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the New Hampshire Optometric Association (NHOA).

Dr. Reese and her husband, Andrew, enjoy cooking, exploring the outdoors, live music and travel. She volunteers her time with various healthcare and educational organizations.
  Dr. Tim Sullivan, M.D.   Dr. Timothy Sullivan, M.D.
Dr. Sullivan graduated magna cum laude with a degree in chemistry from Dartmouth College. After graduating from University of Michigan Medical School, he completed his residency in ophthalmology at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary followed by a fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Sullivan has extensive experience in community service and volunteerism within his local communities. He also is actively involved in clinical research where his articles and findings have been published in various journals and presented at multiple Ophthalmology meetings.

In his leisure time, Dr. Sullivan enjoys hiking, skiing, tennis and cooking.
