Dr. Angelique Sawyer, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Angelique Sawyer, OD, FAAO, has been with Conway Eye Care and Coos Eye Care since 2013, and became owner of both locations in 2018. Originally from Nashua, NH, Dr. Sawyer graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University in 2000. She earned her Doctorate in Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2008. Dr. Sawyer completed a residency in Ocular Disease at the Boston VAMC (Veteran’s Administration Medical Center) in 2009.

Dr. Sawyer is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and she is Board Certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Optometry. She is very active in her profession, volunteering at both the state and national level to advance the profession of optometry, often testifying at the State House in Concord in support of quality eye care for all of NH. Dr. Sawyer is the Immediate Past President of the New Hampshire Optometric Association.

The New Hampshire Optometric Association awarded Dr. Sawyer “Young Optometrist of the Year” in 2015, and “Optometrist of the Year” in 2019. Dr. Sawyer was further recognized when she was awarded nation-wide “Young Optometrist of the Year” by the American Optometric Association in 2017.

When not seeing patients, running the business or volunteering for the profession, Dr. Sawyer is very active in the community. She is a founding member of the Conway Area Lions Club and serves as their Health Officer, assisting those who cannot afford glasses and hearing aids. She serves as Secretary of the Mt. Washington Valley Soccer Club, and a volunteer with the Eastern Slope Ski Club Junior Program. She lives in Conway with her husband, their son, and their dog.

Dr. Sawyer enjoys all aspects of ocular disease, with emphasis in glaucoma and emergency eye care. She also has a special interest in children’s vision, often conducting vision screenings in the local elementary schools. Dr. Sawyer continues to see patients of all ages in both the North Conway and Berlin offices.

Dr. Laurel Pulsifer, O.D.

Laurel Pulsifer, OD, has been with Conway Eye Care and Coos Eye Care since 1999. She is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire and earned her Doctorate in Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She has practiced in Camden ME and Portsmouth NH, prior to coming to the Mt. Washington Valley.

Dr. Pulsifer has been active in the New Hampshire Optometric Association, having served on its Board of Directors as well as several other committees. She has volunteered her professional services for the Lions Club, for the Special Olympics and in Guatemala.

Dr. Pulsifer is an outdoor enthusiast and she has chaired the Chamber of Commerce Winterfest Committee. She lives in Conway with her husband and their dog and two cats.

After more than 20 years of providing eye care to the patients of Mt. Washington Valley and northern NH, Dr. Pulsifer has announced her plans to retire. She stopped traveling to the Berlin office at the end of 2018, and will continue seeing patients in the North Conway office until she retires at Thanksgiving 2019.

Dr. Elizabeth Reese, O.D.

Elizabeth Reese, OD, has been with Conway Eye Care and Coos Eye Care since early 2018. She graduated from the University of Nebraska and she earned her Doctorate in Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis in 2012.

As an optometry student, Dr. Reese served as a national officer of the American Optometric Student Association and she published several articles in optometric periodicals, including Foresight and newOD. She is an active member of the New Hampshire Optometric Association and volunteers her time with various healthcare and educational organizations.

Dr. Reese enjoys cooking, exploring the great outdoors, live music, and travel. She lives in Conway with her husband and their dog.

Dr. Reese has experience and interests in all areas of eye care, including routine, medical and emergency care. She has a special interest in managing dry eye disease and fitting specialty contact lenses. Dr. Reese sees patients of all ages in both the North Conway and Berlin locations.

Dr. Timothy Sullivan, M.D. - Eyesight Ophthalmic Services

Timothy Sullivan, MD, is a board certified ophthalmologist and glaucoma specialist with Eyesight Ophthalmic Services in Portsmouth, Exeter and Somersworth. Dr. Sullivan brings his ophthalmological and surgical expertise to Conway Eye Care and Coos Eye Care on a monthly basis, to provide more advanced services for our patients when needed. He performs cataract surgery at Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin, as well as Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover.

Dr. Sullivan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Dartmouth College. He graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his residency in ophthalmology at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, followed by a fellowship at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Sullivan specializes in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), small incision routine and complex cataract surgery, and external diseases of the eye. He is member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, the New England Ophthalmology Society, and the New Hampshire Medical Society.

Dr. Sullivan enjoys hiking, skiing, tennis and cooking, and spending time with his wife and children.
