Dr. Angelique Sawyer, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Angelique Sawyer, OD, FAAO, has been with Conway Eye Care and Coos Eye Care since 2013, and became owner of both locations in 2018. Originally from Nashua, NH, Dr. Sawyer graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University in 2000. She earned her Doctorate in Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2008. Dr. Sawyer completed a residency in Ocular Disease at the Boston VAMC (Veteran’s Administration Medical Center) in 2009.
Dr. Sawyer is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO) and she is Board Certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Optometry. She is very active in her profession, volunteering at both the state and national level to advance the profession of optometry, often testifying at the State House in Concord in support of quality eye care for all of NH. Dr. Sawyer is a Past President of the New Hampshire Optometric Association (NHOA), and currently serves as the NHOA Legislative co-chair.
The New Hampshire Optometric Association awarded Dr. Sawyer “Young Optometrist of the Year” in 2015, and “Optometrist of the Year” in 2019. Dr. Sawyer was further recognized when she was awarded nation-wide “Young Optometrist of the Year” by the American Optometric Association in 2017.
When not seeing patients, running the business, or volunteering for the profession, Dr. Sawyer is very active in the community. She is a founding member of the Conway Area Lions Club and serves as their Health Officer, assisting those who cannot afford glasses and hearing aids. She has volunteered on the board for the Mt. Washington Valley Soccer Club and as an instructor with the Eastern Slope Ski Club Junior Program. An avid fan of live theater, she can often be found on the stage, behind the curtain, or in the audience, supporting or alongside her son, in various community theater programs. Dr. Sawyer lives in Conway with her husband, their son, and their dog.
Dr. Sawyer enjoys all aspects of ocular disease, with emphasis in glaucoma and emergency eye care. She also has a special interest in children’s vision, often conducting vision screenings in the local elementary schools. Dr. Sawyer continues to see patients of all ages in both the North Conway and Berlin offices.
Dr. Elizabeth Reese, O.D.
Elizabeth Reese, OD, has been with Conway Eye Care and Coos Eye Care since early 2018. She graduated from the University of Nebraska and she earned her Doctorate in Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis in 2012.
As an optometry student, Dr. Reese served as a national officer of the American Optometric Student Association and she published several articles in optometric periodicals, including Foresight and newOD. She serves on the Board of Directors of the New Hampshire Optometric Association and volunteers her time with various healthcare and educational organizations.
Dr. Reese enjoys cooking, exploring the great outdoors, live music, and travel. She lives in Conway with her husband and their dog.
Dr. Reese has experience and interests in all areas of eye care, including routine, medical and emergency care. She has a special interest in managing dry eye disease and fitting specialty contact lenses. Dr. Reese sees patients of all ages in both the North Conway and Berlin locations.
