Telehealth Routine Vision Exams

Although nothing replaces the value of a Comprehensive Eye Exam with an in-person doctor, we realize that current wait times for such care are much longer than ideal. While we continue to recruit more on-site full time providers, we’re excited to explore the option of using remote eye doctors to shorten our wait lists… Enter: Teleheath Routine Vision Exams!!

• How It Works: Your telehealth vision exam will still take place in our North Conway office, utilizing our highly trained on-site technicians and our state of the art equipment.  During your exam, a technician will perform all your tests, guided by a licensed optometrist who will be joining remotely. Our off-site doctors are fully licensed in New Hampshire and follow all medical guidelines and standards of care.

• Routine Vision Care: This is a great option when in need of an eyeglass or contact lens prescription and not having any medical eye concerns. Your exam includes a screening for eye health conditions, however it does not include a comprehensive or dilated health evaluation.  If you have any known medical eye conditions, or if one is detected on your vision exam, you will be scheduled with our in-person doctors for comprehensive medical eye care.

• Prescriptions: You will receive any finalized prescriptions for glasses or contact lenses at the end of your exam.

• For Current Patients: If you see one of our doctors for medical conditions, you may still be eligible to have the routine vision portion of your exam via telehealth, and return for a shortened in-person medical visit at another time.

• Insurance: Please note that these services are not covered by vision or medical insurance. The self-pay cost of your Telehealth Routine Vision Exam would be $145 for glasses only, and $245 – $295 for glasses and contact lenses.
